ELAS TAKES PRODUCTION TO THE NEXT LEVEL
4.2.2026.
Expanding Automation in Sheet Metal Manufacturing
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and automation in sheet metal manufacturing, ELAS has expanded its machine park with advanced LVD equipment. This upgrade continues our long-term partnership with LVD, a trusted provider of high-precision metal fabrication solutions.
Which Machines Are Driving Production Improvements?
Our production now includes:
- Multiple press brakes for sheet bending
- Robotized bending systems
- Combined laser and punching machine
- Fiber laser for cutting
- Loader system that automatically feeds sheets to both the laser and combination machine
These upgrades streamline production, reduce handling errors, and improve workflow efficiency.

Why Digitalisation Matters
To achieve full integration of our production workflows, ELAS has adopted CADMAN‑SDI - a comprehensive software platform that unifies design, quoting, and production programming within a single digital environment.
This digital consolidation reduces manual intervention, accelerates production turnaround, and ensures greater process transparency.
The implementation of CADMAN‑SDI represents a strategic step in ELAS’s transition towards Industry 4.0, reinforcing our commitment to advanced, efficient, and fully connected manufacturing operations.

How Does Warehouse Automation Enhance Efficiency?
In addition, we are implementing the LVD WAS (Warehouse Automation System) - an automated sheet storage and handling system.
The WAS stores sheets in an organized manner and can automatically supply material to the laser and combination machines according to pre-programmed schedules.
This system allows production to continue with minimal supervision, even outside working hours, such as during weekends.
Beyond saving time, WAS improves workflow efficiency, reduces handling errors, and ensures that materials are always available exactly when needed.

Benefits for Our Customers
With these investments, ELAS can:
- Increase production capacity by 20%
- Deliver products faster and with higher precision
- Handle more complex and customized orders reliably
- Provide greater flexibility for customer-specific requirements
These steps reflect ELAS’s commitment to innovation, automation, digitalisation, and smart manufacturing in sheet metal production.
